Today we relaunch our new website, an evolution of our previous design to be more dynamic, informative, and modernised to give visitors as close an experience to who we are before they visit us for the first time, and provide the most in-depth and impartial advice for people looking for care for a loved one for the very first time.
In doing so (and we hope you like it!), we noticed that we've been slacking with the updates in the News section. So allow us to bring you up to speed with what has been a year that has surpassed the entire care sector's wildest dreams, so far:
In August we broke through a monumental milestone — 12 full months with a perfect 100% employee retention. No leavers, whatsoever.
That's 0% turnover, against a sector average of over 30%. And by the way, it's still going — over 400 days and counting!
Also in that same period, our days lost due to sickness were 0.8%. In over 4,500 shifts for the full year, fewer than 40 were lost due to sick days.
- Of course, that all means that agency use was again zero — where it's been since April 2023!
You can read more about these accomplishments, and why they're so crucial here.
In April of this year we also took a unique measure of freezing our fees for 12 months. In 2025 we were able to accumulate headroom that allowed us to try and give that back to our residents in any way we could, so despite the wider inflationary pressures, we've frozen our fees until April 2027 to do what we could to allow people's funds to stretch further into the future.
Over the last two years we've also gone through wide renovations around the home, with more plans in the pipeline for the short and medium terms. These include new furniture and brighter, better colours throughout our building, with more of an emphasis on biophilic design, which we see as a key design trend over the next decade to improve resident wellbeing.
We've also invested further in technology to help us provide safer, faster care with more discretion.

All bedroom and en-suite windows have now been upgraded to the most energy-efficient windows, to allow for greater heat retention (though having them installed prior to our heatwaves wasn't the best planning!) and noise reduction, as well as more openings to allow better airflow.
And you can read about our upcoming plans in greater detail here.
And finally, Aria has been shortlisted for Excellence in Small Residential Care at the prestigious LaingBuisson Awards to be held in London this November.

We're the only single-home that features on the shortlist, with 'small' actually meaning homes of up to ten beds!
It's tough competition, but we're delighted and proud to fly the flag for the smallest of small care homes around the country, going up against regional/national providers.
We hope you enjoy our new website, and we of course welcome any feedback you may have (or bugs that need fixing!)
And we promise to keep our news section more updated in future. We shouldn't let such achievements go unmentioned for so long!
