Aria Care Home has today implemented its latest industry-leading pay for our team members, increasing our previous minimum hourly rate from £13.00 to £14.50 for 2024/25.
The Real Living Wage is currently set at £12.00/h, which means that we continue to lead the way nationally in our rate of pay for care workers. Our decision — first made in April 2023 — has led to a dramatic reduction in falls for residents, exceptionally high employee retention levels and a complete elimination of agency use. These accomplishment buck the trend in social care in the UK, and was recognised last year at the Great British Care Awards.
We'll continue to invest every penny available to us into our workforce as we prioritise fair pay for the skilled work that they do each day. Statistically we've been proven right, and we're committed to maintaining a significant uplift above and beyond the Real Living Wage, and the wider care sector in general.
